Just completed my first two flights with the eFlyBook and found it all too easy to accidently push the download button when trying to take the stylus out or replace it. The power-on button has a 2-second delay become it takes effect, a similar policy with the download button would be cool ,too.

Or is there some other way that already exists to handle this?

With the release of the 2.7 & 2.7.1 OS update (available now) there is now a locking button on the lower right hand side of the screen. Using this will allow you to lock the face buttons so you don't accidentally bump one during flight.
