When will 2.61 be availabe to efly book users

has any improvement be done to the IFR maps or will we be waiting for irex to make the zoom function availabe for PDF

i downloaded 2.6 and 2.61 today. when i hit the connect key it downloaded 2.6 and installed that. on rebooting the machine and connecting it again it downloaded the patch - 2.61. To me the most notable thing was that now my wireless network works with the Iliad. The release notes claim power management also enhanced. since the eflybook app is updated on the SD card nothing new there but i did notice that now a few of the up/down keys work in part of the app - i was able to scroll a plate up and down with the keys, not the stylus which is a huge plus.

the PDF zoom is an IREX issue and it was not resolved as of this release. i guess we all wait. otherwise a step forward.

I downloaded 2.6 and then 2.61 . The Ifr maps still don't work. Any one have any suggestions ?

How is the new update working with the other functions of efly book?

There is a difference between iRex updates and MyAirplane.com updates, you need to see iRex updates as operating system updates, the eFlyBook updates are applied separately.

We have one coming out, with the 2.6.1 release but will send an email detailing the installation procedure, in short you will be required to leave your SD card in the device when running the updates.

The new release contains the following fixes,
1) Improved stability of TPP Viewer, there is still one known critical error with this viewer and we are working on it.
2) Implementation of key functions on the first two levels of menu's, using up and down and select buttons.
3) Implementation of TPP Viewer chart movement using up and down arrows, only support full up and down page movements.
3) Correction of naming, in some of the menus.
4) Version number now displayed in the menu title of the application.

I did the download this morning to 2.61 with the sd card in place. Is every thing going to work right?

It depends on what you mean by everything if you mean every single feature in the device then no, we still have bugs and features that need work, currently we have TPP completely implemented and as menthioned above are working on the rest of the list daily.

Also please make sure the eFlyBook application version is 1.0.9 as this is the latest and greatest, more to come soon.

I have 1.0.9 . Did I do the corret thing and download form Irex 2.6 then 2.81 or should I have waited?

Rob you have the latest version you are fine, TPP - Terminal Procedure Publications I believe but dont shoot me if I am wrong remember I am no pilot.
