We have completed testing of both 2.6 and 2.6.1 updates, and have submitted it to iRex for release to eFlyBook users.

We don't have an ETA on when the patches will be ready for download but will post an announcement as soon as we have received confirmation of its actual release.

iRex 2.6 and 2.6.1 updates are now available for all eFlyBook users.

Please Note!!!! there is some issues with a number of MAC addresses on the iRex iDS(Update Service) which seemed to have lost the fact that they are actually eFlyBooks this then results in the eFlyBook software not working at all.

Symptom: After the update and a restart, when you click the eFlyBook icon the busy light simply keeps flashing, but nothing happens.

If anyone comes across this issue please send your MAC address to info@eflybook.com and mention the fact that your eFlyBook stopped working on the 2.6 or 2.6.1 update we will have iRex correct the problem as soon as possible, do note they are ahead of us as far as time zone is concerned and will only act on the emails in the morning.

NOTE: When doing the updates, please make sure your SD memory card is inserted into your eFlyBook. Connect your eFlybook to either a wired network or Wireless network (see User guides for configuring these if needed). Press the top right button and hold for a couple seconds, it will look for your network and if it finds it, it will then go to a dark colored screen and start downloading the 2.6 OS update. Once this is finish, the display will tell you to press the power on switch. Once this comes back up, press the top right button again (hold for a couple seconds) and it will start the download process all over again. This will update to 2.6.1 and also update your eFlyBook program. When this is completed, you will simply see the iLiad menu, you will need to shut it down and power back up for everything to work correctly.
